NOTICE: 10th Annual Swan Festival
Sponsored by WVA, TD Banknorth and A.D. Makepeace Company Saturday, June 17, 2006 (rain date June 18) Main Street, Wareham; 10am - 5pm
Featuring: Family activities & events, artists, crafters, food court, Swan Idol, music, open housed and sidewalk sales. Also, many local nonprofit groups participation in the event to raise awareness and funds. A great chance to celebrate downtown Wareham and support local businesses and local organizations.
The 10th Annual Swan Festival is still accepting applications for vendors, nonprofit groups and food concessions. If you are interested in being a vendor contact one of the following court supervisors or call the WVA voicemail line at 508.291.3677.

Annual event along the Wareham River- Besse Park and Merchant's Way, Wareham Center.
Saturday June 17, 10:00am to 5pm {rain date: Sunday June 18, 2005}. Where you can experience a day of family fun! Included is a pigfest after the swanfest. Five courts of fun!

  Activities for past years included: Free Trolley Service (courtesy of GATRA), Train Rides (Cape Cod Central Railroad), Classic Car Display, lots of Food Vendors (hot dogs-chili-clam nuggets-lobster rolls-sausages-chicken tender wraps-veggie onion rings-lemonade-ice cream-snow cones-strawberry shortcake), Balloon Man, Music, Chowder Contest, Bike Rodeo, Artisans, Basketball, juggler and more.
Police & Fire Departments were on hand for safety instruction and fingerprinting. Coast Guard, Army Corps & Mass Maritime Academy boat tours.

MUSIC!

The train depot was the stage for The Grace Morrison Band, a talented group of musicians from Wareham. They offered the crowd a great selection of songs.

They also appeared in the Summer in the Park Concert Series, at Besse Park.

Also on stage were: Jack Crocker - solo acoustic guitar, PT109 - Dave Dunn & Tony Puchia, Daniel Byrns - blue grass music, Wareham High School Jazz Band - Frank Nunen.
