Annual Swan Festival Sponsored by WVA, TD Banknorth and A.D. Makepeace Company Saturday, June 17, 2006 (rain date June 18) Main Street, Wareham; 10am - 5pm Featuring: Family activities & events, artists, crafters, food court, Swan Idol, music, open housed and sidewalk sales. Also, many local nonprofit groups participation in the event to raise awareness and funds. A great chance to celebrate downtown Wareham and support local businesses and local organizations. The 10th Annual Swan Festival is still accepting applications for vendors, nonprofit groups and food concessions. Annual event along the Wareham River- Besse Park and Merchant's Way, Wareham Center. Police & Fire Departments were on hand for safety instruction and fingerprinting. Coast Guard, Army Corps & Mass Maritime Academy boat tours. MUSIC! The train depot was the stage for The Grace Morrison Band, a talented group of musicians from Wareham. They offered the crowd a great selection of songs.
Also on stage were: Jack Crocker - solo acoustic guitar, PT109 - Dave Dunn & Tony Puchia, Daniel Byrns - blue grass music, Wareham High School Jazz Band - Frank Nunen. ![]() A crowd gathers to hear the Decas Swansters sing a few merry tunes. ![]() There were rides for the little kiddies to enjoy. |
