Annual Events

• 8^th Annual Swan Festival Besse Park and Merchant's Way downtown Wareham. Held Saturday June 19, 2004 from 10:00am to 5pm (WVA sponsors this annual event).
• Barnstable County Fair an annual July event @ the Barnstable Fairgrounds, Mashpee. The fair returns each year with animals, horticulture, midway and shows.
• King Richard's Faire  Carver,MA. Annual Renaissance Fair held in September and October.
• The Big E ~ Eastern States Exposition ~
  New England's autumn tradition and the ninth largest fair in North America. September - October.
• MassBluegrass Jamboree - Sept. 14-16, 2007 at Yogi Bear Maple Park Campground, Glen Charlie Rd., Wareham. Visit: www.massbluegrass.org


• Bourne Scallop Festival held yearly during September in Buzzards Bay, MA
• Literacy Fair The Early Childhood Family Literacy Fair is held each year in April at the Wareham High School.
• CCCGA Cranberry Harvest Festival will be held at the Plymouth Municipal Airport on  October.
• National Cranberry Festival The Festival features vendors selling cranberry-related items, entertainment, craft fairs, plus all the exciting attractions Edaville USA has to offer. A perfect outing for the entire family.
  Saturday thru Monday, October 6 - 8, 2007   10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  First train leaves at 11:00 a.m.   - Last train leaves at 4:00 p.m.

Educational Fun

• National Marine Life Center Exhibit Center,

  The focus will be on marine animals and the rehabilitation efforts that follow their stranding. Free admission. However, they are in need of donations to help complete the project.
• Southwick's ZOO Southwick's remains the Largest Zoo in New England. When you visit remember to see the very rare "Red Bat". Located off route 16 in Mendon,MA.
• Zooquarium of Cape Cod Rt.28 West Yarmouth,MA. Seal or Sea Lion? See the show and learn the difference. There is a petting zoo & "hands-on" educational demonstration.
