Early Childhood Family Literacy Fair
The Wareham Community Partnerships for Children Grant from the Department of Education in collaboration with the Wareham Public Schools presents an "Early Childhood Family Literacy Fair" to celebrate "The Week of the Young Child." An anual event yjhat takes place in April The event offers free admission includes books, food, and crafts. Parents will receive information on their community resources as well as pamphlets on various parenting topics such as appropriate guidance techniques. The police department will be on hand to give out information on crime and fingerprinting. Children will also learn about fire safety by the fire department and receive Smokey the Bear material. There will be special character visitors through out the day to meet the children. There is something for everyone, so plan on coming to this wonderful celebration of literacy!

Continue reading to see past events... There were arts & craft tables galore, face painting and the Wareham Police Department did free fingerprinting. A great assortment of Girl Scout Cookies were on sale. There were free balloons, drinks & munchies too. And of course, plenty of free books to promoted literacy. There was always a great turnout by the community.
