- PANEL TO DISCUSS SENIORS AND SAFE DRIVING
“Driving Smarts for Seniors” will be the topic of a special presentation at the Bourne Senior Center, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, on Friday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. The Honorable Jeffrey Perry, State Representative, Massachusetts – 5th Barnstable District, will join occupational therapist Donna Klein-Erdman, OTR/L, to begin the free lecture at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided and reservations are required.
Rep. Perry will provide an update from Beacon Hill, including the latest on state policy initiatives affecting senior drivers. Klein-Erdman, who coordinates RHCI’s RoadSMART driver rehabilitation program, will discuss how drivers can assess their own safety behind the wheel.

This presentation is co-sponsored by RHCI and the Bourne Council on Aging. RHCI is a member of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and is affiliated with Massachusetts General and Brigham & Women’s hospitals.

- Wareham 50th Annual Veterans Day Parade ~ was held Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 10:30 AM from Bessie Park to Town Hall
The parade started at 10:30am. The route of the Parade was along Main Street through the center of Wareham to Marion Road. Left on Marion Road or Route 6 to Memorial Town Hall. A ceremony was held in the Town Hall. Hometown America at it's finest.

Shinseki announced the Department of Veterans Affairs will join with the Library of Congress to host a "Veterans History Countdown” on the VA Web site – www.va.gov – featuring the oral histories of Veterans from every state and U.S. territory.
