- Mother’s Day - May 11, 2008 The second Sunday in May is Mother’s Day.
- May 15, 2008 as Peace Officers Memorial Day in honor of Federal, State, and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty; directing United States Government officials to display the flag of the United States at halfstaff on all Government buildings on Peace Officers Memorial Day, as provided by section 7 (m) of title 4, United States Code; and inviting State and local governments and the people of the United States to observe Peace Officers Memorial Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities, including the display of the flag at halfstaff.

Wareham Alumni for the Continuation of Hockey (W.A.T.C.H.) is an organization to help fund hockey within Wareham. Our objective is to help maintain hockey programs at the High School and Middle School through fundraising efforts, as well as, aide administratively with the Learn to Skate/Learn to Play Elementary Program. Skating/Hockey Programs, other than school sponsored programs, are also able to apply for grants through our organization. We are a charitable 501(c)(3) corporation solely comprised of volunteers dedicated to keeping hockey alive in Wareham. Our first Annual Meeting will be held in the Decas School Cafetorium on May 12th at 6:30. Please try to attend to find out how you can help with hockey programs in Wareham. FAMOUS PHOTOGRAPHER COMING TO CAPE COD COMMUNITY COLLEGE. JUNE 14th FOR ALL DAY DIGITAL PHOTO SEMINAR
Internationally famous photographer Rick Sammon is coming to Cape Cod on June 14th to present an all day teaching Photo Seminar on digital photography at the Cape Cod Community College. Rick is the author of 27 digital and film photography books and has taught photo workshops around the world from the Maine Photo Workshops to the Palm Beach Photo Center Workshops. He is a feature magazine writer for PC Photo, Popular Photographer, National Geographic, Outdoor Photography, and has written travel features for the Associated Press. Rick has hosted the TV shows Outdoor Life Network's Photo Safari, the Digital Photography Workshop and the Photography Workshop. He has shared his photographic tips on virtually every morning show in major cities across the country. Even Oprah had Rick as a guest. This event is opened to the public. Anime Boston 2008 - The Northeast's Largest Anime Convention Anime Boston is an annual three-day Japanese animation convention held in Boston, Massachusetts. Anime Boston 2008 is online and was held Friday, March 21st through Sunday, March 23rd at the Hynes Convention Center.
Anime Boston 2008 once again presented all their popular events and much more.
